Causes of Pellet Mill Die Damage
The die is a core, easily damaged component of the moulin à pellets. The following are common causes of damage to help avoid losses and extend the service life of the moulin à pellets.
Foreign Object Intrusion: Hard objects such as metal and stones can enter, scratching the die holes or causing the die to crack.
Improper Raw Materials: Moisture content below 10% can easily burn the die, cause wear, result in uneven particle size, and increase wear due to impurities.
Operational Errors: Using new dies without grinding, insufficient clearance, or forcibly starting the machine when it is blocked.
Lack of Maintenance: Accumulated material not cleaned, lack of rust prevention and lubrication, and prolonged operation under excessive load and high temperature.
