Test the raw material moisture with a rapid moisture meter. If it deviates from the target, prioritize adjusting the moisture level.
Shut down the pellet mill to check the die-roller gap and die wear. If the gap is improper or the die is severely worn, adjust or replace components immediately.
Observe the conditioning temperature gauge. If the temperature is too low, inspect the steam supply.
During the pellet mill's test run, check the pellet discharge status. If pellets have rough surfaces or breakage, adjust the pellet mill's cutter position or add binders.
Test the finished pellets'dust content after cooling. If it exceeds standards, inspect the cooling time and conveying equipment.
