Optimization of Material Deviation in Rotary Dryers
Uniform material conveying and tumbling is the core premise for stable drying performance of a secador rotativo. A secador rotativo is prone to material deviation when its support rollers are not horizontally calibrated. Once material deviation occurs in the rotary dryer, materials will distribute unevenly inside the cylinder, causing partial over-drying or insufficient drying. The mixed dry and damp materials delivered to the pellet mill will interfere with normal pelleting parameters and greatly degrade the finished pellet quality of the pellet mill.
Tilted support rollers, uneven wear of internal lifters, and offset feeding position are the primary causes of material deviation in the rotary dryer.
During shutdown maintenance, calibrate the horizontal angle of the rotary dryer's support rollers, replace severely worn lifters, and adjust the feeding position. These adjustments ensure uniform material tumbling and forward movement inside the cylinder, achieving consistent and qualified drying results.
