The longer the material is extruded within the die hole, the harder and stronger the finished pellets. Conversely, a longer hole diameter results in looser pellets with a higher rate of pulverization.
2. Die Hole Flatness
The lower the die hole roughness, the smoother the pellets produced, making them easier to extrude and less likely to crack, resulting in better pellet quality.
3. Die Hole Diameter
For thick ring dies, the smaller the ratio of die hole length to hole diameter, the greater the hole diameter, the easier it is for the material to form a line within the hole. Furthermore, the smoother the surface of the finished pellets, the less likely they are to crack, and the better the quality.
