Firstly, the moisture content of the raw materials.
Due to different degrees of dryness and wetness, the pellets produced by pressing the same material are different. For example, when the moisture content of the raw material is above 25%, a large amount of water vapor will be generated during the pressing of the pellets. There will be a large number of cracks on the surface of the pellets, and the density is not high, which belongs to a lower quality product.
The moisture content is between 13-18, and the compressed pellets have good surface glossiness, high density, high hardness, and high calorific value, making them high-quality pellet fuels. If the moisture content of the raw material is too low, the friction between the materials increases during the extrusion process, and the compressed pellets are short and not dense enough. Even dry grinding can cause carbonization of the raw material before forming.
