
The die holes of a molino de pellets are the core channels for pellet forming. Rough inner walls of die holes will raise material extrusion resistance, directly lowering the output efficiency and finished product quality of the pellet mill. Scratches and material scale will build up inside die holes after long-term production. If polishing is not carried out in a timely manner, frequent die blockages and higher powder rate will occur.
Long-term adhesion of resin and crude fibers from raw materials, coupled with continuous friction from hard foreign matter, will create uneven inner walls of die holes. Pellets tend to crack during extrusion, and the machine load will rise simultaneously.
Cut off power and shut down the machine before removing the die. Use special polishing compound and polishing drill bits to polish each die hole thoroughly and clear residual scale. Evenly coat anti-rust protective oil after polishing. Carry out routine simple polishing after processing every 100 tons of raw materials to fundamentally reduce die blockage and excessive powder output.
