When the damaged area of the gear teeth exceeds 20% in both the length and height directions, the gears should be replaced in pairs. After replacement, they should undergo running-in and load testing. Once the gear length contact reaches 60% and the height contact reaches 40%, they can be used normally. Replacing in pairs is emphasized and very important. Do not replace one part and then replace the other part a few days later.
During operation of the wood chip pelletizer, if the reducer oil temperature rise exceeds 80°C or the oil sump temperature exceeds 100°C, or abnormal noise occurs, stop use immediately, inspect the cause, replace the lubricating oil, and eliminate the fault before resuming operation. Temperature is critical; remember these two points and frequently check the gearbox. Early detection facilitates maintenance.
If the output shaft of the wood pellet machine's reducer stops rotating while it is in operation, it may be due to damage to the key connection of the reducer. In such cases, the reducer must be disassembled for inspection.
