For the oil level and temperature of the pellet mill reducer, check the tightness of bolts and oil level regularly. If the oil level of the reducer is below the lower scale line on the dipstick, replenish oil in a timely manner. For circulating oil lubrication, pay attention to oil pressure changes; when the oil pressure drops significantly, inspect and clean the oil filter screen.
For heat dissipation check of the pellet mill reducer, keep the outer surface of the reducer clean and ensure its vent holes are not blocked to facilitate heat dissipation. If the tank temperature rises too high, check for possible causes such as excessive oil level, poor surrounding heat dissipation conditions, degraded oil quality, insufficient cooling water, or scaling in the cooling coil which impairs cooling efficiency.
When oil leakage from the high-speed shaft of the pellet mill reducer is detected, check if the oil level is too high. If the oil seal leaks due to aging or wear, inject an appropriate amount of grease through the grease nipple on the cover; if the oil leakage is severe, the user should replace the oil seal by themselves promptly. Important note: Eight hours after the reducer operates, a small area of oil soaking around the oil seal is considered no leakage, oil soaking spreading to the base is considered seepage, and oil accumulation on the foundation is considered oil leakage.
For safety protection of the pellet mill reducer, install protective devices for the exposed rotating parts of the reducer, and ensure grounding when connecting the reducer to a motor or other electrical equipment. Important note: Do not remove the sight glass cover while the reducer is in operation to prevent high-temperature gear oil from splashing and causing personal injury.
