Material selection: Select according to the corrosiveness and working intensity. Stainless steel is used for strong corrosion/small ring die hole (high force); carbon steel is used for low corrosion/low strength; alloy structural steel is used for medium strength.
Aperture determination: The aperture matches the pellet diameter; when the material has poor fluidity and is difficult to form, a slightly larger aperture is selected.
Compression ratio selection: The compression ratio is the ratio of the effective working length to the aperture; a large compression ratio is selected for high hardness pellets, and a small compression ratio is selected for easy forming/low hardness requirements.
Smoothness and wall thickness: High smoothness is preferred (reducing friction, improving quality and life); wall thickness is determined by working intensity, and thicker ones are selected for high strength.
