Key Operating Requirements for Pellet Mill
Raw material particle size: ≤ 2/3 of die hole diameter (screen-passed).
Moisture after conditioning: 15%~18%. Uniform moisture = higher pelletization rate + greater density.
Magnetic separator required before pelleting: Protects die from damage, avoids unnecessary losses.
Core Pelleting Mechanism
Working center: Wedge area between roller and die (material nip point). Other equipment plays an auxiliary role.Three key pressures:
Roller squeezes material into die holes.
Die provides resistance to control material flow.
Combined roller pressure + material friction: Prevents splashing, ensures tight compression.
Adjust feed rate/speed to increase material thickness in front of rollers for better nip force.
Operator Note
Adjust operations based on ambient temp/humidity, raw material moisture/particle size, formula changes, equipment wear, and customer requirements to ensure qualified pellet output.
