
The front oil seal on the hollow shaft is the most difficult to repair when it leaks oil.
The front oil seal of the hollow shaft is located behind the drive wheel. When it ages or becomes damaged, gear oil will flow down along the front wall of the gearbox. Replacing this oil seal requires a significant amount of time and effort, as it involves sequentially removing the ring mold, pressure roller, main shaft, and drive wheel.
When the hollow shaft oil seal is installed, if it is not installed flat or properly, oil leakage may occur again. Experienced maintenance personnel can remove the damaged oil seal and reinstall a new one.
For general maintenance personnel, it is necessary to open the side cover of the gearbox, loosen the large gear screws, move the large gear to the motor side, then loosen the six screws of the oil seal housing, and remove the oil seal housing. After replacing the oil seal, reassemble all components in sequence.
