
Ring die cracking is a common fault in pellet mills, often caused by improper operation and lack of maintenance.
Main causes: hard metal objects mixed in with the raw materials, insufficient gap between the pressed rollers, long-term overload operation of the pellet mill mold, and failure to clean residual materials after shutdown, leading to cold cracking.
Daily inspection points: Before starting the machine, check the inner wall of the ring die for cracks and chipping; regularly calibrate the gap between the pressed rollers to prevent excessive tightness from impacting and damaging the die; clean the residual material in the die hole in time after stopping the machine to avoid hardening and cracking of the die hole; strictly prohibit long-term overload operation to protect the ring die and extend its service life.
