Common causes of uneven feeding in pellet mills and quick adjustment techniques
In daily biomass production operations, the stable operation of the pellet mill is crucial, as the smoothness of the feed directly determines production efficiency. Uneven feeding is a frequent fault in pellet mills, easily causing problems such as material blockage and reduced capacity.
Uneven feeding is often caused by inconsistent moisture content of the raw materials, mixed particle sizes, wear and tear on feeding components, improper speed control parameters, or arching and interruption of feed in the hopper.
Quick adjustments only require controlling three points: controlling the moisture content of the raw materials and screening for uniform materials; inspecting and replacing worn feeding parts and cleaning the hopper; and fine-tuning the feeding speed to match the operating rhythm of the main unit, which will ensure uniform and stable feeding.
