
The pellet cooler is specially designed to dissipate residual heat from newly extruded pellets. Insufficient cooling air volume of the pellet cooler will lead to slow heat dissipation and unqualified pellet temperature. If the pellet cooler fails to achieve effective cooling continuously, high-temperature pellets will retain residual heat, which easily causes moisture regain, mildew and pellet cracking during storage. Poor cooling performance will waste the pelleting quality of the pellet mill and ultimately lower the finished product yield and comprehensive economic benefits of the pellet mill.
Insufficient blower air volume, blocked ventilation channels, overly thick material layers, and high temperature and humidity of inlet air are the main reasons for reduced cooling efficiency and excessive discharge temperature.
In daily maintenance, thoroughly clean internal dust and debris of the pellet cooler, regularly inspect and maintain blower equipment, and control the material feeding thickness uniformly. Scientific operation can fully eliminate residual heat of finished pellets, stabilize pellet appearance and hardness, and effectively extend the storage cycle of finished pellets.
