Three key points for using a straw pellet machine to make fuel:
Processing & pressing: Test run first to check parts; feed uniformly. Newly made pellets are hot—dry them before storage and shipping
Straw quality: Newly harvested straw has high moisture (easily moldy). Air-dry it, keep it ventilated and dry. The machine needs specific moisture levels; 17% is ideal
Straw storage: Stack vertically when possible, leave space between stacks for moisture to evaporate. Sun it regularly to prevent mold
